It’s Saturday, the end of the week and the time you get stumped with what to make for dinner. You want to keep it simple yet make sure the kids are fulfilled with your choice so why not just get the kids to choose.
On this occasion, they wanted burgers which are great they can also help with the weighing, chopping (supervised of course) mixing and the best part making the burgers.
Our kids also help with the building when they’re cooked. The buzz they get when they start to add the fillings to go on top of the burgers is great, especially when they realise they have added far too much, and the burger topples over making such a mess.
Eating is even better when you eventually chow down into their burgers and the sauce and juices dribble down their chins, and the giggles of satisfaction are momentous alone.
The burgers themselves are beautiful, juicy, full of flavor and are so much better than the frozen or chilled ones you get in the supermarket.
The yoghurt actually helps with keeping the burgers moist and adds a little acidity which helps with the cooking process.
This recipe can be adapted so much to your liking, maybe add some chilli flakes or English mustard powder. Either way, you will be ultimately satisfied and craving to make these again in no time at all.
